HERAKLION, CRETE
3rd to 7th June 2015
Heraklion is the largest city and main business centre of the island of Crete, Greece. It is one of the largest cities in Greece. Heraklion is close to the ruins of the palace of Knossos, which in Minoan times was the largest centre of population on Crete. The sea, as well as the area's antiquities, excellent food and friendly, welcoming people make this a delightful place to visit. At the beginning of June, moreover, it was warm but not yet too hot. Our hotel was situated in the centre of the city in the main square with many restaurants, coffee shops and bars nearby. There were a lot of things to see and do and we arranged a number of optional excursions. As always, there was a reception at the local Chamber of Commerce and individual business meetings were arranged.
