Our February Business Lunch was held in the 4* London City Bankside Hotel on Thursday 23rd February. The hotel have been members for over 20 years and can always be relied upon for delicious and interesting food in an elegant but warm and welcoming environment. An outline of the menu enjoyed by members on this occasion is given below.
Starters:Spiced carrots and butternut squash soup OR honeyed mascarpone OR English breakfast: poached hen's egg, chorizo sausage, croutons, smoked bacon OR Wild mushrooms in creamy souce with toasted brioche, micro herbs
Main Courses:Roased sweet potatoes, leeks and Devon blue cheese tart; sauteed courgettes, red pepper coulis OR Seared salmon supreme with winter vegetable hash brown, French beans, white wine sauce OR Slow-cooked belly of Dorset pork with Dauphinoise potato, carrot puree, apple sauce, red wine jus.
Desserts:Chocolate mousse cake with whisky cream OR Pear and thyme tarte tatin with creme fraiche and almond ice cream, toffee sauce OR Cheese selection with plum and apple chutney savory biscuits
