The Viking Gallery
Pamela Price has been a LSCC member since it first started in 1989 and her entrepreneurial spirit and zest for life shows no sign of slowing down because she is busy promoting her latest venture - The Viking Gallery.
Situated in Margate's up and coming Arts and Retro quarter, The Viking Gallery has played host to exhibitions featuring international, national and local artists. At one time in its past life, the building was a Turkish Bath. During its refurbishment, Pamela decided to keep the the iron furnace with its eye-catching solid, red iron door that makes visitors stop, look, think and imagine how hot it would have had to have been to power the steam baths.
The contemporary gallery space extends over two floors and the flexible space can also be hired for educational events, talks, workshops, classes as well as corporate events and launches, rehearsal space and pop up restaurant.
There is a small gift shop with a range of re-issued Ladybird books, gift items, some original artist designed linen table napkins, Moroccan boxes and silver bracelets, Hot wire decorated boxes and a wide and interesting selection of cards from local and visiting artists. The British Museum have also supplied The Viking gallery with gift items and souvenirs from their major exhibition "Vikings: Life and Legend'.
The Viking Gallery could be that unique venue to run your event or class at and there is the added bonus of discounts and special rates if you are a LSCC member.
