Local Beckenham businessman meets Lymphoma shock head-on
Just one week into married life, recently wed to business partner Cherie Calver and with two young children both under three, Langley Estate Agent Managing Director Rocky Langley was left reeling when a suspected chest infection turned out to be an aggressive form of Lymphoma and he was hospitalized, with intensive treatment expected to last for at least two months.
"With a really good start to the year and business improving month on month a quick bit of planning was needed to ensure it could be business as usual. Sales and Lettings staff have rallied and we're lucky to have such a strong team" Cherie commented. "It really has been a great shock and so sudden."
Never one to be beaten Rocky used modern day technology and ensured that friends and family all got involved, "and the local community have been so supportive and I'd really like to say a big thank you to all of them" he said. "McMillan Nurses have also been great and to show gratitude for the amazing support I've been receiving from the Macmillan Trust we'll be donating a % of all sales and Lettings income to this charity.
We wish Rocky a full and speedy recovery. If anyone would like to offer support for the local businessman in raising funds, pop into the Beckenham office and make a donation or contact directly the MacMillan Trust."
