Interchange Fees are Capped by EU Commission
On 9th December 2015, the EU Commission made the important decision of capping the interchange rates at 0.30% and 0.20% for credit and debit card transactions respectively when processing a card payment made by your customer to you.
Interchange rates are the costs paid by the acquirers/processors to the card issuers and are set by Visa/MasterCard. The British Retail Consortium has estimated that this could save British businesses up to £480 million a year.
The big question is, are these savings that your existing processer or bank is making being passed down to you?
CARD CUTTERS specialise in merchant services & chip and pin machines and they can run a free assessment report to find out if you are over-paying for your current merchant services.
Also, for a limited period only, Card Cutters are offering a 3 Month's card terminal rental absolutely FREE including setup and FREE installation up until 29th February.
